My dream job

Thinking about my dream job It takes me back to when I was still in school and we had to be prepared to choose a career, I still can remember myself feeling lost and with no notion of what I wanted to do with my life, wondering If maybe I should just follow the safe path, but also, it was between that period of time when I had a revelation. It was probably the weekend and I went with my mom to the movie theater to watch an animated movie, suddenly while we were watching, one scene captures my eyes, it was beautiful, the movie’s characters were flying above the city in when the sun was setting and they stopped at the height of clouds to see the view of the city the bridge and the river, it was right at this moment when a thought came to my mind, I wanted to be able to create something as beautiful as what I was watching.

I would say, that was the birth of my dream job, working at Walt Disney Animation Studios and coming up with new stories ideas and the development of characters, this job is mostly an indoor job, but if you think about it, it may be possible that at some point you have to do some research and that would mean going outdoors and maybe travel somewhere else but I imagine that it’s mostly in your office or in reunions, the fun thing about this is that the building of the studio is really fun and you can see the creativity in it, they even have spaces of recreation, so even if I have to work in an office I don’t think I would get bored.

This idea of working on something creative like this, made me question myself when I chose a major related to health, because I really didn’t see a future that I would enjoy so in the end after a year I ended deciding to change majors, and that’s why now I’m studying design.

  1. This seems like a job with a big future--entertainment is getting more important, especially entertainment that involves graphically designed characters, etc... I imagine that even holographic entertainment would need similar skills in its design.
